The striker caused all sorts of problems for Paris Saint-Germain’s defence as United dramatically claimed a place in the quarter-finals
Manchester United have done it.
The Red Devils overturned their two-goal deficit in heroic fashion with a 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc-des-Princes, going through on away goals.
Marcus Rashford’s stoppage-time penalty proved to be the decisive moment but United’s first two goals have come from their man of the moment Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men the lead inside two minutes – capitalising on Thilo Kehrer’s dreadful backpass before rounding Gianluigi Buffon and sliding the ball in from an acute angle.
Juan Bernat equalised for PSG to settle any nerves they had on twelve minutes.
However, you can’t afford to relax when an in-form Lukaku’s about and the Belgian restored United’s lead on the night when he latched onto an uncharacteristic mistake from Buffon, who spilled Marcus Rashford’s long-range effort.
Unsurprisingly United fans are very excited about this and a great deal of their praise has been given to Lukaku, who now has six goals in his last three appearances for the club.
